About Us

Welcome to Direct Solutions Rehabilitation & Occupational Services Pty Ltd. Established in 1985 by Jane Mahon, this company has been dedicated to providing exceptional Rehabilitation and Occupational services to Australian Veterans. Jane embarked on her career at the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, where she had the privilege of learning from amazing mentors who guided her path. It was during this time that Jane discovered her true passion with a particular emphasis on mental health care. She then undertook post graduate training in trauma-informed care psychotherapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitation Counselling.

Jane’s passion for working closely with soldiers and Veterans began with her beloved grandfather, George Quigley. George was a brave solider who fought in the battle of the Somme, and Jane developed a deep bond with him from a young age. His experiences instilled in her a profound admiration for the men and women who serve our country.

Direct Solutions is proud to be a family business. Jane’s daughter, Ciara Mahon, leads our Human Resources division. Ciara brings her expertise and dedication to ensuring that our team operates smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, Jane’s son, Liam Mahon, recently graduated with a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling. He now serves as a Rehabilitation and Employment Consultant at Direct Solutions, combining his knowledge and passion to make a difference in the lives of our Veterans.

Over the years our team has grown, as we have expanded to include a highly skilled clinical and operational management team. We now place more emphasis on trauma-informed case management services. Our staff have learnt strategies that are effective in helping our clients maintain a positive outlook as they progress in rehabilitation, finding a new career path and coping with life changes.

Direct Solutions is proud to have evolved into a national provider, offering services not only to Australian Veterans but to other stakeholders such as Commonwealth Government, local government, Life time Care Authority, Comcare and other private and public sector clients.
